Straight out of Japan from our Friends at MHI comes a new factory upgrade for the Mitsubishi Evolution X. Very little is shared with the stock turbo this is a brand new design specifically for the EVO X. The turbine wheel is a new TF06-07 mated to an all new billet 18KX3RC compressor wheel co-designed by Forced Performance. The compressor cover has also gotten the redesign treatment and features a 3″ inlet and surge ports. The stock wastegate actuator has been ditched in favor of this new MHI high pressure 18PSI actuator.

Significant attention was devoted to the packaging of this exhaust. Tubing diameter was increased to 3″ and bends were kept to a minimum with large radii for optimum flow characteristics. Fitment was extensively worked to ensure maximum ground clearance to accommodate cars with very low ride heights. Designed as a direct replacement for the factory cat back exhaust, it uses all of the stock mounting points and is compatible with the factory cat pipe as well as the previously released COBB High Flow Cat Pipe. Turboback includes: COBB 3″ SS Downpipe – Widened 3″ mandrel-bent stainless steel downpipe; COBB 3″ SS Testpipe – High-flow catalytic converter for optimal exhaust flow; COBB 3″ SS Oval-Tip Catback Exhaust – Beautiful fabrication and awesome rumble.
